My wife and I are considering buying a home there. Do there police and fire protection come from North Las Vegas. Given the layoffs that would be a not so good thing.

Summerlin is partially in City of Las Vegas and partially in the unincorporated county. Neither is affected by the NLV debacle.

i posted a question about a neighborhood in vegas. there was an apt on craigslist and i wanted to know if the area was safe.
