My husband and I are going to Vegas in October and we have an offer for a couple of free rooms at Circus Circus.

Even though my husband's comments was "No way, we're not staying there" I would like to get anyone's comments about their rooms. I have read that the Tower rooms have been remodelled and in the picture they look quite nice. Free is free, right??

Comments?

Circus Circus is located at the far end of the strip, so you will be a bit more isolated from everything else if you are on foot. Plus it is where most people with kids stay, so expect the pool to be full of screaming kids

I think you would be better off using your free rooms at IP, which is located right in the heart of the strip

We have stayed at Circus many times through the years. Yes, the manor and I believe the tower rooms have been remodeled.

I know that Circus gets bad rap on this forum, but everyone has different standards and perspectives. You have to decide what works for you. For some Circus is okay. Others need the elegance of the Bellagio or The Venetian, etc. The price is right for you so go and have a good time. You don't have to play there or eat there. That's the beauty of Las Vegas.

Take them up on the offer and let the strip be your oyster.......

we stayed there last year and it was absolutely ghetto beyond belief. And I am no hoity toity traveler. I would NEVER stay there again. Dirty, loud, trashy people, and quite a long hike to the strip.

I understand what you are all saying about Circus Circus. My husband and I walked across that huge parking lot in mid July in 112 degree weather!! We just went in and walked around a bit and then left and that was the last time we were there!!

We would not be spending a lot of time there if we stayed as I know what you mean about the screaming kids!! However, we don't need anything fancy and would probably have a car as my husband had a benign brain tumor operation about a year ago and for now walks with a cane so we won't be walking as much as we did in past years.

I know what you mean BRDD, we used to go to Vegas once or twice a year and the last time we had 7 days of free rooms at Caesars Augustus rooms and they were very nice but as we have not been for 6 years now those type of free rooms are out of the question!! We don't need fancy we just want something that is clean and comfortable.

By the way, might be a silly question but....is there any restaurant there that is worth eating at?

I've never been inside Circus Circus, but I have to say that when I was at the top of the Stratosphere I thought that C2 looked absolutely hideous! I don't know if I could ever get past the creepy clown out front

Their steakhouse is shockingly good given the location. Everything else is chain stuff like McDonald's or bland generic fare.

I've never stayed at CC. The place kind of creeps me out. I was there once with a buddy at a bar and some guy was trying to sell us homemade crucifixes. It was kind of funny at first, then got annoying, then got threatening as the guy would not take no for an answer. Eventually security did escort the guy out, but I've never come across anything like that in a strip casino, even at the cheaper ones like IP.

That being said, the actual rooms themselves usually get pretty good reviews.

Didn't they just open a brand new "upscale" McDonalds next door or has that always been there?
