I got a job offer in Vegas! I'm super excited and very nervous. Theres no set start date yet but it's probably going to be in the next 2-3 weeks.
I would like to rent for at least a year and learn the lay of the land better b4 making any long term commitments. I've been looking through the threads and there's so much info I feel like my head is about to spontaneously combust.
So, I need some help narrowing down living options. I want to stay in henderson/green valley area and would like a luxury apartment/condo, preferably newer (maybe about 5 yrs or younger). I initially was looking at high rise condos off strip. Turnberry towers was on the top on my list, but I read somewhere that the area isn't safe.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not sure I'd be able to check out properties before moving.
Please and thank you!

Congrats on your new job!

I'm sure someone will be along to help you who has real estate experience, but if I was looking, I'd want something in or near The District. Lucille's has some great BBQ. My favorite photographer used to have a gallery there, but no more.

If you can afford a condo in Turnberry, you can afford just about any condo in Green Valley Ranch. Welcome home: 2220 Village Walk Dr # 3224, Henderson, NV 89052 (MLS # 1273819)

The only luxury condos or apartments in that general area are the District and there are none available to rent.

To rent luxury in that area will have to be a private house. There are several.

Nearest luxury condo is Panorama...about $2000 for 1400 SF. Pano offers reasonably quick access to Green Valley.

Uh looks nice. Thanks for the link. It'll be my plan b. although I can afford it, I'd rather save the extra money. The way I see it if i was paying 2k plus for a place, I better have a killer view.

Logline hit the only one in the District. There are also three over on Carnegie at about $2200 but furnished. Other than that it is a single family or Panorama...

I read somewhere that Bella vista had decent units, but the reviews I read on apartments.com were pretty off putting. By the sound of it I may have to go the apartment route, my condo dreams are slowly dying

Bella Vista has some reasonable units. Not remotely luxurious. There are dozens of others.

You need to make up your mind what you seek.
