I'm excited. I will be living in the Sun City Anthem area. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have been told DirecTv is the way to go. Is this available in that area?

Also, I am an Internet gamer and I like fast Internet connection- which are the best Internet connection companies?

Cox Cable is fastest hands down. We have the bundle with them - phone, TV, and internet.

Cox for games, otherwise you will get killed by lag. All serious gamers hate lag.

How about the television? Is Cox on the same level as DirecTV?

Most of the men I know prefer DirecTV to Cox because of the sports packages for television.

I agree with those above who said Cox for internet. No contest.

Direct TV doesn't have AMC, so it is a no-go for us. I don't know how the weather and heat may effect satellite reception. We have the Cox bundle, which is pricey once you include tv/phone/internet w/HD, DVR & Premium Channels. However, as a new customer, you get a bunch of discounts, so we won't be paying full price until a year into signing up. The internet works very well for streaming video. We have never had a problem and it has never gone out, nor has the cable tv. We were going to sign up with Century Link, until we saw how much slower their internet capabilities were. We read a lot of reviews about poor video streaming with them. So, although their TV package was cheaper & they were offering us all kinds of bells & whistles if we signed up, we decided to stick with what works (Cox) even if it is a little more money. Good Luck with your move!

You are incorrect. Directv has AMC. It was DISH that did not have AMC, but I think they do now.

Cox. Nothing else.

For TV people go for Direct for the sports package. Many have Cox as well.

Everyone has to choose Cox for internet because there is no other decent choice. Cox wouldn't be the #1 choice in many other places that have a more competitive market for high speed internet.

My view of Cox internet after a few months is that they are mediocre. They aren't great, you don't get the advertised speeds, and their service is so-so. But, they aren't terrible (centurylink anyone?), you get at least half or more of the advertised speeds, and their service is better than some companies. So Cox is a safe choice when you consider the other options in the valley.

I can't comment on TV, my household has digital broadcast with a $20 antenna and Netflix.
