I will be moving down to Las Vegas soon and I'm looking for some insight on some safe complexes to look into. I have looked at online reviews, but would like some additional thoughts regarding safety as I will be alone. Thanks!

I've been doing research on that area as well. It seems like Desert Shores apartments seems like a nice area and safe reviews.

Budget, kids, schools, work, transportation?

Best answer is apartments in Summerlin.

What's your budget??

Check out Altessa apartments off of Far Hills Avenue and 215. Gated and a really nice area. Only thing going against the place is lack of walkability. Gotta drive for everything.

I would like to keep rent under $800/month. I have a car and I'm used to commuting everywhere, so that's not too big of a concern. Thanks for the suggestions so far, I will take a look. Keep 'em coming!

I am apartment hunting for a safe area myself. Check out Coronado Bay Club Apartments, and Everett (but these are in the Southwest since that is my goal area). In Summerlin/Spring Valley area, I've heard good things from Summerhill Pointe and St. Clair from friends.

She did say single woman. I know a single woman can have kids, but I wouldn't assume so by her post just because she is female. If she had kids, I am guessing the subject line would be different here. Just sayin'

Better to ask rather than assume.

We have had plenty of these threads before. Someone would post for the safest place to live in the valley, say that they are "single", then forget to mention that they had a school aged teenager with them. (Maybe the teenager didn't matter).

We even had a thread where someone forgot to mention their four dogs.
