Well we got our windshield washed at Durango and Tropical. By the time we got to Lone Mountain it stopped.

Our pool cover is still dry.

So now Merry Lee you know the secret...our hurricanes can barely fill a thimble.

Gonna go sit on the patio and think storm...probably won't work.

We got a light rain. Nothing that's going to soak in much.

It downgraded to a tropical cyclone by the time it made landfall in Baja Mexico. Here's a video from space of when it made landfall. LINK

It was also the earliest tropical cyclone on record to make landfall there. I was looking at the statistics they've been putting out lately and most of the hurricanes on this side seem to go way out to sea instead of towards land.

Where I was I'd say the rain in NW Las Vegas lasted around 10 minutes and it was like a cloud burst. More than a light shower but not long enough. There's more coming. That was just the edge of it. They say the rain is expected tomorrow and maybe Thursday. Most areas that do get rain will see around 1 inch, but it looks like most of the rain is forecasted for everywhere else but Las Vegas. I did sit on my patio and think 'rain' before hand. I guess I should change my thinking to 'storm' next time. I miss the rain. I'm looking forward to Monsoon season.

Also on the National Hurricane Center there's another potential one already developing near where Blanca began. The next one will be named Carlos. This is the list of names for the northeastern Pacific Ocean 2015 season. It's the same list that was used during 2009. I wonder how many more we'll see this season make landfall and if any of them will be more significant due to it being an El Nino year.

Oh ya! It's really windy and raining outside again! All the kids started screaming their heads off and jumped out of the swimming pool. lol

I don't know if this can be attributed to the remnants of Blanca though. It seems kind of late for that.

Rained pretty hard for about 10 minutes here. Noisy, too.

That's about how long it lasted here too. Just like last time but more windy. I read on the weather site some people commented they got it twice in Centennial Hills.
