...tonight (Saturday) is a rare opportunity.

Zachary Throne is going to front the Spazmatics at the South Point Casino at 10pm. Zach is one of the best rock singers in Las Vegas (Raiderman can back me up on this.... Zach is legit)

Doors at 10pm, $5 cover. Not bad for a great singer and great band to boot.

My friend and I together with my sister and brother-in-law went to see the Lost 80's show at Mandalay Bay Beach last Saturday and it was fun. Nearly 3 hours but worth the wait. Different bands. Definitely looking forward to next year's show. .

Music doesn't pay very well for most people.

One of the best bands I ever say play was free..in a dive bar in oklahoma city. If it would make you feel better, take a pocket full of hundies, and make it rain on the stage..I'm sure the band would be thankful...

Thanks for the tip I am planning on attending. Have you ever seen Zowie Bowie? Is that band any good?

In my opinion, Zowie Bowie is one of the best bands in LV. Catch them on FSE on Thursdays or at Red Rock on Fridays. Though they play a lot of 80's, they aren't an 80's band. For that, I'd suggest following 80's Station - another FSE regular.

Rockitt is also a new band on 3rd St. stage at FSE. They are mostly the members of Arena, who used to play on the Main St. Stage. Last night was a great night for 80s music here in town. Slaughter/Vixen/Steelheart at DTLVEC, then over to Vamp'd to see Trixter.

And regarding Zach, yes. Definitely worth seeing him whenever he plays. His range is among the best in Vegas. The absolute best singer that I've seen, though, is Cian Coey. She plays in Brazen, and the Gregg Peterson Band, and is also the female vocalist for Meatloaf when he tours. If you get a chance, and like the genre, she won't disappoint.

You'd be surprised. Zach is only filling in this week. He can hit the highest notes in rock with ease.
