Looking for a good food establishment to buy rotisserie chicken. Not a grocery store but rather a Boston Market or Cowboys Chicken for the one's familiar with those places.

Can't answer your question, but I think what you want is something like what this place makes:

I used to get take out from there all the time when I lived in Marin. Actually, if all you are looking for is something comparable to Boston Market, I think you could find that at Costco.

I'm in the area and don't know where to get "good" stuff. You may be stuck with the grocery stores or El Pollo Loco.

Being the poor disabled chick that I am, I will let everyone know what the best deal for rotisserie chicken is. Walmart sells them for $4.98 and they are really tasty. The trick is to go right after 8pm and ask for 50% off. Some of these chickens have only been sitting for 20 minutes. They will sell them for $2.49 which is an absolute STEAL! From what I understand, this works at all Walmarts but I have only done it personally at the Warm Springs and Eastern neighborhood market, or the Eastern and Serene supercenter. At the supercenter, they also discount ALL items in the case such as hot wings, jalapeno poppers, general tso wings, etc. Have fun and you can thank me later lol!

Lacrosse--

Back about 15 years ago, we used to have Boston Market chicken places here, also Kenny Rogers. We also had Ko-Ko-Roo chicken, not rotisserie but really good. Now, there is only El Pollo Loco, which does not sell rotisserie chicken. You're stuck with the grocery stores for that, as far as I know.

I cooked a rotisserie chicken on my gas grill last Sunday. Did it the way I always do with the same spices and for some reason it just didn't come out that good. I think it was just a lousy chicken. They are not all created equal, but how would you know?

We love Pollo Loco. Better than Boston Market, IMO. The ones from the stores are okay but never had one from Walmart.

If you are looking for a nice juicy chicken, try La Bonita. Look at the butcher counter for one of the chickens that are pale yellowish, not pale white. That pale white color comes from bleaching ( I don't know why we do that here in the States , maybe because it's an aesthetics thing. )

I've gotten some nice fat roasters in there with plenty of fat under the skin, which of course adds to flavor and tenderness as it melts in under prolonged cooking.

Man, I wish there was a La Bonita near me.
