Hi Everyone,
My family and I will be moving to LV on 12/27. My question to you all is, because I will be driving my car with HI license plates, should I be careful where I drive too, for example mod cut: exact address removed on Freemont St.(my in-laws place).
Thanks,
Haunani

No, you shouldn't have to worry about driving anywhere in Las Vegas with out of state plates. There are plenty of out of state plates in the area mainly because of three factors, Nellis AFB, large amounts of visitors/tourists, and during the winter, the snowbird population (those spending the winter from northern climates).

However, if you intend to become a resident of NV, by law, you have to get a Nevada driver's license within 30 days and get Nevada plates for your car within 60 days of becoming a resident.

I was thinking about that 30 day law. There are people that park in my complex and have been here longer than I have (over 2 mos) and still have CA plates. In fact, most of the cars in this complex are.

So, to the OP, I definitely don't think you will have a problem with that. In fact, I think I am in the minority with the NV plates.
