I have never done autopay on my NVEnergy bill and they have no deposit on my account. They have never even asked me to do autopay. And I won't do it either!

This sounds like a bad credit issue. Have you requested a credit report from one of the three reporting agencies?

I have autopay with no issues. My summer months don’t go above 250 and oct-may is about 50

Good luck!!! And props to you for standing up to them. The electric bills are so high here that it's a serious issue for many people.

They got a HUGE tax decrease. The rates should go down, right? Isn't that what they told us?

Maybe, but the rates are very low compared to CA and other nearby states.

That is definitely true, but wages are also lower here, so it probably "feels" just as bad to the old checkbook..LOL
