I purchased a 2018 Honda Sport Fit and have been very happy with it. The back seats fold down and give you a lot of trunk space. I live in the desert and haven't had any issues with the A/C. The only complaint I have is that I thought it would have better gas mileage than it does but, I'm willing to live with it because it's not that bad & the car hasn't had any mechanical issues at all.

It’s a 2018, no car should be having issues that new.

It will. I do a lot of work on Hondas. The 90s Hondas used to last forever and be really easy to maintain. Modern Hondas break down quite often and are a lot harder to maintain.
Matter of fact one of my mechanics is a die hard Honda guy. He has 7 of them and has had several more. He won't buy any Honda newer than 2005.

That said, MOST modern cars will do just fine if you maintain them properly. Honda, Mercedes, Bmw, and Chrysler just tend to be really finicky about everything.

I actually rebuild the car as I go along. I recently replaced the entire suspension with adjustable coilovers to soften my suspension. In addition to that the transmission fluid been changed 3 times. oil changes every 3000 , all belts including the drive belt , the water pump, starter , alternator and so on. If there is a rattle or a creeking noise the car goes right to the shop. I don't let anything go.

I got a white 4 door civic automatic new when we moved here in 2004. Tan cloth seats. More than 20,000 miles later she's still going.

20,000 miles in fifteen years, you don't drive much.

Good deal......200k. That means you take good care of your car as people should. If you take care of your car your car will take care of you. The beauty of an older car is that the insurance is cheap. I'm paying $620 per year for full coverage with a $500 deductable for my 3010 Kia soul with 118k miles.
Next stop: 200k mile marker .

In the last 20 years my wife has had two Toyotas, a Corolla and a Camry. Both were great cars with virtually no issues.

I'm looking to maybe get a 2019 Camaro SS, but that's andifferent story.
