People who are intoxicated or high on marijuana should not report to their job, especially if they operate motor vehicles or heavy machinery

Complete lie. People who think the EC should be eliminated believe that people living in Montana and Wyoming should not have MORE representation.

If you want to see the reason the electoral college needs to stay, look at the map below. This is the county by county results of the election. Note that Clinton got the popular majority.

Without the electoral college system, a very small part of the country will control the whole thing. If that happens, large swaths of the country will decide to split off (or eject the small, densely populated areas on the coasts)

So states can have equal representation.

Los Angeles County (red) has more population than all of the states in blue. Why should they get to dictate over those living outside it?

Which conclusively demonstrates that the vast empty spaces prefers Trump. Why is that relevant?

You believe cow pies are more important than voters?

As long as the cow pies vote red, yes, that's all the care about. Actual living people who vote blue are lower than cow pies to many on the right.

California's population is nearly at 40 million, and Wyoming is about half a million. The EC provides a balance of representation, based on the number of Senators and Representatives. It's a shame that schools don't teach this stuff.

Yes, it is a shame that schools no longer teach logic and communication but I guess I can see living proof that they don't.

Because Hillary supporters bitter about her loss want to change the rules so they can win every time.
