We used LV Tree Worx, very pleased with the price, the response time, and the cleanup. Very professional operation. They removed a shoestring acacia that was taller than our two-story house that would have probably eventually pushed over our block wall had we not taken it out.

What did they charge? I have a two story "african sumac" (that's what star nursery said it was) that's been in various stages of dying for 3 years, now. I guess I have bark beetles. If I treat the tree, it seems to get better for a while, then it goes downhill again. Every year for the past few years I've been cutting off large chunks of it that are dead. The stuff I cut 3 years ago has grown back in and it actually looks Okay, but this year, another half the tree is dead and needs to be cut. Not sure if i want to keep chasing this... its actually what Star said was going to happen, LOL. Probably time to take it down.

A Able Tree Service charged me $500 to remove three pretty good sized trees. They did a good job of cleaning up. Seemed like a good deal to me. Another quote I got was for $800.

I'm glad to hear it worked out. A landscaper I had used recommended him because he didn't do tree removal.
