There are things. I spent many years in Rochester, NY. The locals there salivate over Red hots and White hots...variation on the hot dog/polish sausage. Don't believe it. Anyone who really wants a red hot or a whte hot is losing their marbles. Attrocious fat filled things.

Then again there are the really rare things. Climbing a half mile up a gentle hill side in 3 feet of snow. Smallest kid vanishes periodically. Pick your 18 foot christmas tree and cut it down. Then haul it back the 1/2 mile to the station wagon. When done you are almost dead from exhaustion, your private parts are partially frozen, the short kid has actually gotten 20 lbs of snow in her snowsuit and is crying...the 80 year old physician who sold you the tree and helped you haul it is cackling about what a fun walk it was...and well you get the idea. I was about to call my cardiologist when I got home but the chest spasms passed.

My children have deliberately forgotten this ultimate Xmas tree experience. That is so I can't Currier and Ives them with their children. They deny all knowledge.

I am sure there is something else...I will think on it.

Olecapt I am from the same part of the world as you and I know all about the love for those Red Hots. But I simply have never heard of a White Hot. It must be the same thing but in white. The reds were more of a
cinnamon hot thing. What's in the white?

Speaking of white. I miss White Castle. Great little rat burgers. I no longer eat meat but whenever I go back I get everything else they sell......one or two of each.

We used to have Whataburger in Las Vegas but they went away. Even better than Whataburger is Lottaburger in New Mexico.
