Agreed. Can't beat 60 oranges for only $2-3. The Wal-Mart near me keeps fresh produce. I however refuse to buy any meat there unless I am able to price match the organic chicken they now carry. My alternate for all meats and organic produce is Sunflower Market just a block away.

By the way, I've got a juicer. Although if I wanted to I probably could chow down 60 oranges.

Don't neglect Market 168, Costco, bountifulbaskets.org and vegasfoodcoop.com

Groceries don't cost diddly in this town if you don't mind a little legwork.

Don't forget the 99centsOnly store. Find out what days they get their trucks.

This week, I got bananas, salad stuff, brussel sprouts, asparagus, cilantro, and mushrooms. They had lots of other stuff.

Also got all my paper/cleaning products too. I really like the Awesome laundry detergent.

You can't beat them. They are always my first stop. Then it's on to one of the Hispanic stores for meat.

How is Winco stacking up now to the ones you mention, that they have past their Grand Opening deals?

Hey, we almost made it four (4) years!

My main question is ... how do the noobs find stuff that old? I mean, you really gotta look for it & there's almost certainly something more recent of relevance.

One of these days, I'm gonna start a 'dead pool' or something similar to see who's revived the oldest thread. This would likely be a candidate.
