Would you help me by sharing your experiences in one of the following communities?

I am looking at the area adjacent to Summerlin Pkwy and I-95 (corner of I-95 and Summerlin Pkwy)
specifically, Pioneer Park and Angel Park Lindell.
Zip codes are 89128 and 89145.

I've looked through the Las Vegas thread and understand that
Summerlin and Henderson are recommended by so many residents.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford a house in Summerline and Henderson at this moment.

As an alternative, I've been looking at areas next to the Summerline.

Is Pioneer Park and Angel Park Lindell safe? family friendly? quiet at night?

If anyone lives in either Pioneer Park or Angel Park Lindell,
could you please share your experience with me?

Any input is deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

# Vandalism - I did not know that. Will google to check this out.

# Family Friendly - well, that was miss phrased. I wanted to say would these areas include parks, walkting/cycling path, kids friendly facilities near by?

# Near the Summerlin Parkway or US95 - I think I can handle the general traffic noise. What I wanted to know was is there any secion in these two areas that is known for the loud neighbors/barking dogs, that sort of "noise generating" environment.

Any comments? Thanks.

Have you looked into the Centennial Hills area in the NW part of the valley yet? A little further out but very quiet and family friendly. The YMCA opened recently with an olympic size pool and good sized water park area, and the library should be open shortly. It is supposed to be the second biggest in the valley. Housing is also a bit more affordable out here, and quite a few of the homes have larger than average lots. The schools are also excellent, and there is quite a bit of dining and everyday amenities.

Centennial Hills - Yes, I've considered that area.
One reason I was inclined to the 89128 and 89145 is the potential benefit of reducing the "commuting time/gas price."

Do you know if there is a substantial difference in the commuting time between the Centennial Hills and 89128 and 89145?

If the difference is minimal, then Centennial Hills becomes appealing.

I guess I am being greedy here that I would love to be able to hop on the Hwys and go places easily.

I'll reconsider the Centenniel Hills again.

Thank you.

Look into 89131, 89143, and possibly 89149. Right off of US-95 and Durango. Commute times about 10 minutes longer. The population is growing on this side of town though so it may get worse.

You might give this site a look. It will give somewhat of an overall of crime in area around town. I live near Angel Park (1/4 mile). Seems quiet to me. It seems like the farther you get from Rampart or Durango towards Rainbow, the worse the neighborhoods become. Here is the link: CrimeView Community Incident Map
