Ahem, I feel like singing...

East bound and down, 18 wheels a rolling.
I'm doing what they say can't be done...

No, I'm not moving. I'm back indoors, and starting AIT Trucking School on Monday. I won't be online all that often, but I thought some good news would be nice this time of day.

This is the first year that it's really hitting me, this irritation with the wind.

We get so wrapped up with consideration of temperatures where we move, but overlook that blasted, cursable, damnable, irritating wind factor!!!

It falls to 60 at night, and you think you're safe from the ravages of wind, and you're out walking and you curse yourself for not bringing along a stocking cap or warmer jacket.

Happened late last nite walking my ferret around Mandalay/Luxor, that wind tunnel effect around those towers. Grrr..... And being I'm recovering from a bout of flu, back to the car I go for my stocking cap!

It is annoying but this year I can't really complain considering the type of natural disasters occurring elsewhere. I think if I was to complain about the las vegas wind down in Alabama right now I might be hung.

At your rate, you might have to re-visit...you only have two places left? Australia?
That is awesome tij...much respect for the way you've lived your life. I have friend who has spent the last 20+ travelling the world as a cook...he's cooked for cowboys on a ranch in australia and in the governors mansion when G-dub was gov of texas...and almost every tropical paradise in between. My 401k looks way better than his...but his quality of life and life experiences have blown mine away...no doubt in my mind which one of us is winning the game of life. You're belong on that same list with a select few in the world...some people get it - most dont.

Way to go, aqualung. I am happy for you. You might like driving truck. You will have a lot of company on our nation's highways and biways. Yikes and spikes.

Thanks for all of the good wishes, gang! I'm borrowing one of my roomies cell phone, so please understand if I make any mistakes. Like when I can't see what I'm typing. I think that Ace and Jackie are gone, but I should be able to get Queen back. BTW, I went to the Peterbuilt dealership not far from here, and I was able to climb up into one of the classic tractors.
