not cheap at all. I actually envy you and don't really have a decent excuse for not going to my local library...I love them. The hubby bought a color Nook when it came out and I ended up playing with it quite a bit so I bought myself one. Then he bought me a Xoom tablet for my birthday and ended up taking it over...all's fair and all that.. :-)

At least if I get one of those, I'll figure it was yours before.

Anyone know what's going on with the Linq/ferris wheel project? Last I read, construction was to begin the end of August, with the demolition of O-Shea's. Walking around that area at night with my ferret, doesn't look like anything is happening.

Or did they spend too much of that $500 million loan on their Octavius Tower at Caesar's and no $ left for Linq?

I saw preview photo's of the new pricey rooms at the Octavius Tower in the paper this morning. Just what the Strip needs!

I really do hope that the Linq gets built.

And I hope it looks as close to this as possible.

But they will probably run out of money half way through the building phase then it will end up looking like this. City Center style.

Last time I looked, the property looks untouched.

They always have such great plans for new and improved things here, but they don't always act on it. They totally destroyed Wet n Wild to build nothing. They demolished Scandia Miniature golf to build nothing.
I do hope they at least go through with their plans and build the Linq, and give a nice big locals discount.
