It is summertime. That is there equivalent of warm tropical breezes.

I could not turn it down Von if I was in the right age range. Just to interesting to pass up. ND with class...

In other news, it's supposed to be in the 70s for the foreseeable future.

At 36 below? Seriously? You would have frostbite in seconds. 36 ABOVE I can see MAYBE if the sun is out and there is no wind. But shorts at 36 below zero? No.

-36. 36 below. I wasn't even the only kid to wear shorts that day.

With no wind you were about 10 minutes from frostbite. With 10 mph wind maybe 5 minutes. With 20 Mph wind less than 3 minutes. It is not impossible but it is really, really stupid. When I was a patrol boy in the 7th grade I was on a corner for 20 minutes at around 10 below. End up with frostbite and a nun who ended up getting beaten up by my parents and the pastor. Did not like that I actually needed to be treated. I was not wearing shorts and had on a warm coat. Got my face and legs.

Well, it's not like I hung around out there. The bus stopped at my driveway. I could see it coming down the street from the kitchen window, and that's when i went outside. I was out there, maybe 45 seconds, and then another 30 seconds walking from the bus into school.
