C'mon...you don't need a friend's reservationist sister to get you a FANTASTIC room rate in LV these days. In this economy, they are practically giving rooms away for free. The Orleans sends me mailings at least twice a week now....and casinos where I haven't gambled in for over 5 years are now sending me offers to get me there! If I wanted to stay in 3 different casinos...I wouldn't have to pay a dime for rooms and could stay for 9 straight days!

Just get on the net...room rates couldn't be better. And please...get to LV quickly.

I don't think that she can work any special deals, just because I referred you to her. Feel free to book anyways, I'm sure that they've got some decent rates right now.

Hey, how do I get on that list??? Seriously, I'll be looking to snap up a REO around fall and need a place to stay for 2+weeks. Pays to plan ahead.

Regular stayer at The Orleans...go once a year (not this year, though ) You've got to gamble to get the offers...slot gambling will get you better offers than table gambling. This year, the offers have been triple what they normally are...due to the economy. Even places I briefly stepped in, years ago, and gambled very little, are trying to entice.

The Strip properties need to lower their prices even more, I can see the off-Strip hotels and some of our local hotels with great mid-week rates and deals, but not so much the biggies.

We have friends coming in next weekend and I usually book their room for them. I got them a room at the MGM for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, the cheapest I could get was over $460.00 for the three nights. They usually like to stay at Paris, but they're ALL BOOKED! So much for rooms available when you want them.

IMPORTANT!
We're sorry, unfortunately we don't have rooms available on 03/13/2009 03/14/2009 03/15/2009 . Please try new dates or select from another casino. Nearby casinos may have availability for your travel date(s).

And Bellagio, at $179.00 per night, Fri,Sat, Sun. Where's the discounting to get people in?

I find these weekend prices are still outrageous.

sorry Mom but $179 on a weekend at a 5star hotel is reasonable to me... have you seen the price of a Motel 6 lately... they are around $80..
if they want cheap stay at imperial palace or riviera

Wow, airics! Is that what the hotels have been getting? And that's cheap compared to what the tourists WERE paying?

The suits really need to give the tourists a break here

when we were driving to vegas last year from Ohio, i was shocked to pay $84 at a Motel 6 (dump) in Omaha, NE... In Cleveland, (around Beachwood - my area), everything is around 100-110 and these are basic Holiday Inn type places..
A Holiday Inn here may be equal to a Station Casino there.. A Bellagio would be the Four Seasons of Cleveland which is $300 +
