Except for three years in Mississippi (where I couldn't), I've always used American Family (in Missouri and now in Nevada).

Your current company might already do business here.. have you checked?

Check out USAA if you qualify. They have the best rates.

To qualify for USAA, you must become a member and to become a member, at least one person of the unit must have been formerly military or their parents must have had USAA insurance. They will not even quote you unless you take the time to give them all the required info about yourself so they can then check, supposedly, if you qualify.

Thanks for the replies on AAA. I called and they gave me a hard time until someone finally was able to help and gave me a quote. The people here is Southern CA said they didn't have coverage in Nevada but finally spoke with someone who helped me. Thanks so much for your help.

Default Homeowners Insurance

Hi, I'm a Homeowners Claims Adjuster. I lived in Las Vegas for about one year in 2005 and worked for CSAA (AAA Nevada). This is a good carrier. I can honestly say that if you have a claim with them, they will bend over backwards to help you. While I no longer work for them and have since relocated to California, I can honestly say that CSAA is good to their members.

If and when I relocate back to Las Vegas, I will only consider CSAA for Homeowners coverage. Another important consideration is coverage itself. Many of the large carriers are removing coverage via endorsements you get in the mail with your renewal notice or monthly payments. Few people bother to read those pamphlets.

CSAA is one of the few carriers who is adding coverage. I hope this helps you.

AJ
