I think they are restricted to public sidewalks, so you won't find them in front of all the Vegas properties. Some of the sidewalks are private property and the hotel management will have them removed. They seems to be concentrated in front of Paris/PlanetHollywood because they can get away with it there.

Their cool individuals, their my raza...hey they're just trying to make a living. If you want to demean someone, you should point your remarks to the individual that hired them and invested the money in printing out the cards and their vests.

Don't bet on them all being illegals. Mostly Hispanic and poor but leave it at that. The illegal alien bit is simply a little bit of racism. Don't like what they do so they are illegal. Ran into a couple of White Anglos Looking for work outside of a Star the other day...We all know they are illegal even if not.

The sidewalks are public. Attempts to make them private and off limits have repeatedly failed. Metro has various techniques to harrass if desired. And can get away with it in some places. So it is kind of a don't go there we won't bother you there...

I feel like I am being harrassed by these individuals and it bothers me that Las Vegas continues to allow this behavior.

Really?!? They are no worse than the beggars in CHI and NY, whom are everywhere.

The Strip should be viewed and treated as its own little world. The Strip is Vegas to tourists, but it certainly does not have to be for locals.

LAS VEGAS doesn't allow these guys to pass out porno and harass the tourists. LAS VEGAS has tried everything under the sun to get rid of them The U.S. CONSTITUTION allows them to do it. The ACLU has defended them against the city's attempts to get rid of them for years. The courts have ruled it is a freedom of speech thing and as long as they are on public property they have the right to pass out porno. Another example of illogic by lawyers and judges who are a self perpetuating group that needs to be gotten rid of.

Kind of like an Indian Reservation.

You'd throw out the Constitution, too?

Buzz, I normally agree with a lot of what you post here, but that is just asinine. As you noted in your third sentence, this is completely legal under the Constitution.

Should cities be able to ban people from passing out political literature on the sidewalk?

Should they be able to ban people handing out pro-choice or pro-life material on the sidewalk?

Of course not.

You can't make an action illegal just because you don't like the message on the material being handed out.

Blaming the ACLU, lawyers and judges for adhering to the Constitution is completely misdirected.
