just curious, are the prices listed on the Cox web site with cable tv bundled or can you just have internet and pay that price?

I have Clear and it sucks, been nothing but problems. I'm lucky to get 1mg on downloads. I have called their customer service about twice a month, they don't do a whole lot to help because I SHOULD be getting a good signal being close to a tower. But its not good and the only way its half functioning is to put it in the most inconvenient place in the house. Even then something about the signal from the modem to a wireless router causes the router to inexplicably freeze. Its just been headaches with them and I'd be leery in suggesting it. I also have the USB version to take out and I see some amazing speeds in certain parts of town, but when it doesn't work in your home it sucks. Streaming videos are tough and VOIP calls were so miserable I dumped my Vonage service. So be sure to get a guarantee and don't be foolish like I was and not return it quickly if the service isn't fast. I just hated Cox so much I wanted to make this work.

Beware of CLEAR , if you own a router, you are required to pay monthly fees . . . That SUCKS. I stick with Cox Internet.

What are you talking about. I have had clear since they came out and it works fine for me. It is also hooked up to my wireless linksys router and they do not have any extra fees. Cox is better for speed, but if you have a good signal like I do at my home, it works well. I like the fact you can take it anywhere in the city and get decent speeds. I know some people might not have good luck with it, but i'm one of those who are pretty happy with it.

CLEAR is garbage. Tethering from a smartphone is more reliable than CLEAR..

Update!

Opted for Cricket. They have a $84.00 wireless broadband starter package with a $50.00 debit refund card mailed after several weeks.

Overall the...Signal service/Speed seems good!

Keep in mind I'm talking Light surfing & Random iTunes downloading.

Monthly tally with NO commitment contract is around $44 bucks.

Clear is a scam.... poor service and very bad customer service..if their service goes out they will not give you a instant credit for the time or for the day it was out due to them having problems....unless you beg and yell at them....VERY poor customer care
