I have a question, I currently just turned in my K1 Visa application for my Fiancee, but she is currently trying to get a tourist visa as well. My question is will she have a hard time getting a tourist visa while the K1 is in process? Also if they ask if she has boyfriend in the states should she answer yes? Also just realized that I should have made the title K1/ Tourist Visa

She'll have to apply and see what happens. She needs to be entirely truthful on the application and likewise answer truthfully any and all oral questions. If her visa application is approved she needs to prove at the POE of her intentions to return to her home country, i.e. a round trip ticket, proof of employment in her home country, strong family ties, etc. If the officer at the POE has any doubt of her intention to return to her home country she can be denied entry.

Ok thanks, just wanted to be sure that her applying for a tourist visa won't mess up anything with the K1 visa (that's the more important visa). She will have a round trip ticket, she just wants to come back and visit for a week or so while we wait out this K1 visa process.

It is a gamble! She was in the US for a while (I do not remember - au-pair/student) and K1 is in process. How will she show binding ties to Mexico?

Haha yes that is correct as an au-pair and she does have a job, and will be buying a round trip ticket. She also had the host family that she stayed with here write a letter saying that is why she is coming is to visit them and the kids she used to nanny.

If they do not ask her if she has a boyfriend/fiancee should she tell them in the interview anyway?

Why? Answer only any questions asked, no need to offer information.

Great thanks, that is what I figured. We just don't want to do anything that could jeopardize our K1 visa application.

There's a pretty good information section on the website Visa Journey that talks about this very subject. I can't post the link here but if you do a Google search on K1 Visa Applicant Visiting the US it should come up for you.
