Oh absolutely. I think every person born on earth should be born in the USA. The USA should designate a "birthing zone" in one of the more sparsely populated great plains states and fly every pregnant woman on the planet there to have her child. Of course, this would be a huge undertaking and not every baby born on earth will be in the USA. Maybe even less than half will be, but with a lot of effort, we can surely get those numbers up to 30 percent or higher. I suspect more third world mothers will be excited for this opportunity, but it's encouraging that even relatively developed countries like China are interested in having a USA baby. How do we get countries like France on board though? They may not be happy that we are trying to hoard all of the world's citizens.
If one is here illegally and gives birth, their child should NOT be granted automatic legal status. That may not be exactly what the op is talking about but I feel strongly about this......
As a American you should consider going to another country to give birth. It can give your child the choice of citizenships when he or she is older. And simplify movement between the countries.
Note-not all countries view being born there as granting citizenship I imagine.
I know of a midwife who has people from other countries come to her to give birth in the US. Then after they get their birth certificates they go back to their countries.
