Canada has a wealth test.

This test does not apply to refugees, I assume. Just those applying to enter. I guess it includes work visas?

Exactly because poor immigrants both legal and illegal have been doing our dirtiest foulest jobs for at least 30 years, keeping them all out will not result in Americans lining up to kill chickens for Tyson, or to clean bed pans in hospitals - those jobs just won't get done.
