I never understood why all immigration papers require proof of funds and/or sponsor that makes enough money, if that wasn't enforced.
I'm glad President Trump will enforce that.
I know of people (legal and illegal) in Florida (from the newspaper) who are on section 8, etc. Insane. That should not be possible as that should be for citizens only.

From your lips to God's ears.
If it's required and the rule of law then by all measures it should be enforced. Maybe it's just a matter of not enough enforcement personnel.
Perhaps it is just procedural with no real meaning or bite to it, I dunno.
Read it in the newspaper so it must be true! Undocumented immigrants don’t get section 8. Period.
Regarding enforcement of support affidavits, you can’t go after money people don’t have. Given how little job protection people have in this country, and the fact that a trip to the ER can leave you bankrupt, there’s no way to know that a person signing a form today saying they can support themselves/someone else will hold up next week.

Really...there were interviews on TV with the city how illegals can have access to section 8 money
I have no way of knowing how credible these sites are but I have worked in the agricultural industry and these articles reflect my experience.
Immigrants use twice the welfare of U.S.-born citizens Thursday, March 14, 2019
“Sixty-three (63) percent of non-citizen households access welfare programs – compared to 35 percent of native households,” CIS reported. “Despite the fact that there are barriers designed to prevent welfare use for all of these non-citizen populations, the data shows that, overall, non-citizen households access the welfare system at high rates – often receiving benefits on behalf of U.S.-born children.”
Again, I ask the OP for his sources of the stories he reported?
Regarding the Center for Immigration Studies (the source used in the post right above this one): "The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) is an anti-immigration think tank. It favors far lower immigration numbers, and produces research to further those views. The CIS was founded by historian Otis L. Graham and John Tanton, a eugenicist and white nationalist. ...
(That's from Wikipedia but there are other sources online that similarly question the CIS's "nonpartisan" claim.)
Note, I am NOT 100% pro-immigration. I just wish we could have an intelligent discussion about it using reliable sources that are NOT from the far right OR the far left, and that are not simply "I know this guy" or "I read somewhere that" etc. That appears to be too much to ask.

Karen...because you have difficulties to use an search engine, and therefore, I helped you out!
"The new rule could affect as many as 32,000 people in mixed-status families who currently receive federal housing benefits."
I'm all in favor of this new rule, after all we came here legally and had to pay for visa's, lawyers, passports, USCIS fees, travel fees to stay in compliance with I-94, numerous drivers licenses, etc.
No sympathy from me, sorry!
We have seen many liars in this area and right now a lease is ending of an asylum seeking family who lied so much that their lease will not be renewed as they rented a month prior to renting through our office, in the same zip code for the same asylum seekers, for what we now learned, is to bring other family members over here that are illegally here. We do not even know who resided in the rented property we rent out to them as for each showing a stranger is there and only one bed in the property while we rented to a family with two kids and two adults. No children clothes to be seen and I doubt they all sleep in one bed.

Thanks, but I use search engines all the time. You had mentioned specific things you'd read recently so it didn't seem outrageous of me to ask for the links, no? Always good to be able to read the source first-hand (which is how I found out what CIS was).
Incidentally, the 2nd link you posted is about MIXED-STATUS families. From the link: "Under current law, a family only needs to declare the number of family members who are eligible or ineligible for the subsidies. If an undocumented family member lives in public housing with the eligible applicant, then the family only receives partial subsidies, which cover only the family members who are eligible citizens or qualifying immigrants. The current system ensures that undocumented family members do not receive any public housing assistance benefit. Because of these strict guidelines, mixed-status families usually end up paying close to market-rate for rent."
The proposed rule would say that if ANY undocumented person lives there, the family loses the voucher entirely.

That's appalling, I agree.
Please don't assume that someone who is simply asking for specifics of something you wrote about is just going to rant at you. As you see, I didn't.
