I'm a US citizen who met a woman from Korea who is now working and waiting for her greencard. She's been here for 5 years. And we love each other immensely.
I guess I'm just wondering what to expect if we were to marry. Would she have to reapply for a new greencard, just curious.
If you marry, her GC status doesn't change and she doesn't have to apply for a new one. If she takes your name she can have her card re-issued in her married name.
Is she close to getting a green card on her own? I might be mistaken but if you marry she will get a green card after 3 yrs of marriage to you.
Just curious how did you meet her here in the US? Cuz I'd like to meet a recent Korean immigrant to date. Love the culture, love the way they are raised to have good manners and kindness to others. I've thought to myself posting personal ads might not help because something tells me Koreans aren't reading Craigslist and Yahoo personals too much. Or CD for that matter.

It would seem pretty obvious from the OP's question that his girlfriend has already applied for and is being processed for a GC so any question about GC via marriage is redundant.
Presumably you've spent some time in Korea? If not and your relationship with immigrant Korean women is based solely on what you've seen in your particular locale and your assumptions about their culture and mores, then you're two steps behind backwards.
That part of your question is relevant to the CD Relationship forum so post there and see what happens. Cheers!
you probably want to find out if she wants to become a US citizen, just FYI. my wife is japanese and want to stay as a citizen of japan
