The house we are interested in buying is next to a sump. Anyone else live next to one and have a bad experience?

There was a thread about this a while back - you might want to search for it.

I grew up next to one as a kid and live 2 lots down from one now - and can say it's very much a non-issue. Don't let it influence your buying decision - a quiet sump makes a great neighbor!

Lived next to a small one for 12 years. Never ever had an issue with it.

I think I asked this question about a year or so ago...do a search. No one seemed to mind overall.

I lived next to one for 35 years and it never was a problem. Was lots of fun to play in as a kid. :P

I wish I lived next to a sump. Beats living next to my neighbors hands down.
