I'm looking for a landscaper to trim hedges, mow the lawn/backyard, and rake leaves. Can anyone recommend anyone in my area? Also, can anyone tell me what's the going rate for these services? My lawn and backyard are about 50x100 sq. ft. each and I have about 10 or so shrubs.

Thanks,

Ladierayz

Default A map of the Hamlet of Roslyn Heights in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County

First, are you sure that you are actually in Roslyn Heights?

I ask because Roslyn Heights is one of those villages and hamlets on Long Island where many of the places (about 1 out of every 2 places) with the community name in their mailing address (1,704 acres) are not in the hamlet (944 acres).

A map of the Hamlet of Roslyn Heights in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County:

Roslyn Heights is one of those villages and hamlets on Long Island where many of the places with the community name in their mailing address are not in the hamlet: places with a "Roslyn Heights, NY 11577" mailing address that are not in the Hamlet of Roslyn Heights are in the Hamlet of Albertson, the Village of North Hills and the Village of East Hills; and, at the same time, there are places in the Hamlet of Roslyn Heights that have an "Albertson, NY 11507" and "Williston Park, NY 11596" mailing address.

I just asked this question for my neck of the woods yesterday, and people who mow their own lawn get very snippy and snooty if you don't mow your own lawn. Eventually I would like to do it, but at this point I might want somebody to do it. No big deal.

What i would do is try to see in your neighborhood any landscaping trucks going by and copy their number. There are so many companies out there.

Good luck.

My husband and I both work over 80 hours a week. We have neither the time nor the expertise to landscape.

Since you're the expert, why don't you come over and I give you $20 to mow our lawn? And, perhaps your wife can come by and clean up a bit too

Don't get so upset with these peopel Ladierayz. They are tax and mortgage poor and can't afford the extra few bucks to have someone mow their lawn. It's so pathetic watching them do their little chores during the hot summer months while I leasurely sip some nice cool beverage.

The only problem is they are annoying with all their power tools at odd hours.

BTW..I hope Walter helped you precisely locate your precise location in the precise part of Rosyln Heights

Agreed.

It's amazing he actually took the time out to find and paste all those links. Especially when he could have used that time raking the leaves in his back yard.

We should all chip-in and buy these, so Johninwestbury can come take care of our landscaping!
