Hello
We are just landing in LI and we are looking for a place to settle
Last time we were visiting Huntington for the Parade and we found this place pretty nice (Main street etc . full of shop/restaurants
I was wondering if we can found similar places but more east in LI

Port Jefferson NY

IMHO its a bit more quaint and has outstanding schools.

Great town.

PS

Way east...see Sag Harbor and Greenport.

Port Jefferson is the closest thing, although it's not the same scale and is more touristy feeling and less young and hip.

If you head east on 25A from Huntington, you will pass through a dozen quaint towns.

Patchogue could get there in a few years, but for now, no.

I like Sayville, but to me, it has about 1/10 as much to offer as compared to Huntington, especially when you're talking about restaurants. It's not like you can spend all day walking around Sayville..it just isn't very big.

Patchogue is moving in the right direction but it's pretty rough around the edges at this present time.
