Can someone comment on Pasta Pasta in Port Jeff (restaurants, food)

Most of the restaurants in that area are just tourist traps but Trip Advisor rates Pasta highly. Are there other restaurants within 10 miles of Port Jeff that are reasonable, not barbecue, that won't be more than, say, $25.00 a person? Any recomendation are appreciated.

Ate there twice..sort of eclectic Italian. Food was good but, again, let's face it..its just another Long Island restaurant trying to pretend its a NYC fine eatery....for example..asking you if you want some fancy foo foo water from some fancy European spring. Give me a break.

Yikes...lots of choices within 10 miles.

I agree the Pie is good. We like the Steamroom for simple, decent seafood. You can also stay under $25 at PJs Lobster House.

We ate at Pasta Pasta once. I remember some sort of run in with the hostess, but also that the food was very good.
