Wow! I remember when Fiber Optic lines were a dream, futuristic Sci-Fi talk. The technology has unquestionably proven itself according to this data. Not often that you get to watch hype become reality. Too bad it's still a bit pricey, to pay for the infrastructure development I suppose, but that'll even out as adoption rates increase. The day might not be so far off when cable lines are truly obsolete. I'd guess that wireless transmission will remain the only viable method in remote areas.

Pricey? Cablevision and their crappy internet is just as expensive. I had Cablevision in Huntington and switched to FiOS and saved a good amount for better service. Then I moved out to Holbrook and can't even get FiOs. The FiOs rep said they stopped their line about a mile from my house.... I volunteer to dig but they declined.

Any Idea when FiOS will be coming to BH?? I'm thinking about going to direct TV, way to many issues with CV.
