Peter Luger's makes a great burger that they serve at lunch.
If 5 Guys is eligible (they don't freeze anything) then I'm throwing them in there as well. They make All American look like White Castle.
That's funny I was just drooling while browsing Morton's site and noticed they have burgers now too.
AAB is still tops in fries, shakes, knishes, nostalgia but youre right, 5 guys and cheeburger both make better burgers. The Good Life is an up and comer too. Too much competition in the burger triangle. Even Wendy's reborn is not too shabby lately.
Best Burgers IMO:
Peter Lugers
John Thomas Inn
Triangle pub
Lake Grove Diner
Zum Stamtisch in Queens (they serve it on a toasted English muffin)
My mom's burgers are great, she takes 80/20 chop meat makes the burger patties, seasons with adolphs meat tenderizer, onion powder, garlic powder and soy sauce. Grills them medium and serves it on a toasted english muffin with Wisepride cheddar cheese, MMMM
forgot this place even existed but you're right, their burger is very good.
