I recently moved to LI in February, and since then I have gotten a water bill in March (although they claim they sent me a bill in February as well) and a LIPA bill in April. I did not get either bill in May and I'm wondering if this is normal?

LIPA and national Grid both bill in 2 month cycles. I get a bill on the even months, Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct and Dec.

LIPA is sent monthly, but every other month it is estimated unless you enter your meter reading. Suggest you signup for their online acct and see what's owed

I am on balanced billing with LIPA and receive monthly statements. Water bill is quarterly.

I have always gotten LIPA bills every month. Same for National Grid (gas).

LIPA bills monthly, meters are read every 2 months. Estimated bills are used in the between reading months.
Water bills depend on where you live and who services you...
SCWA bills quarterly.

Balanced billing seems like a good idea. Do most people here use it?
I'm going to assume that I didn't get mailed a water bill either, since it likely is quarterly.

I have been receiving LIPA bills every two months since I moved into my house in 1995. Perhaps the monthly billing option is the recent change.
