I'm home, kicking back, watching an old movie on TCM. The phone lines errupt at 10 pm. Caller ID reads Emergency Communication.
The SCPD is calling to tell us that between 10 pm and 11 pm there will be a controlled detonation of explosive material by the SC Bomb squad in the Stony Brook area.
WHAT????
Controlled detonation during 10 - 11 PM? What the heck did they find and where?
Apparently, an old batch of "highly explosive" chemicals were found at the Stony Brook School. So they took them to the school field and blew them up. The news report said they were 30 years old.
