I moved out of LI and love it. look everything is about where you are in life. 21 year old moving south might be the wrong move. Middle age secure in might be a great move. BUT THERE IS A WHOLE OTHER WORLD OUT THERE THAT IS REALLY NICE . LI IS NOT THE BEST IN EVERYTHING. All the reasons people say they stay for , they don't enjoy because they are working all the time. The same people saying about the world renowned culture picks up there begale and coffee at the same place i did and they read the NY Post. Oh don't forget the 40,000 in credit cards and the 400.00 car payment so they can look the part of the renouned person Lol . people on LI are some of the hardest working people I have ever met. People here work 3 jobs and still can not afford the so called renouned culture .

You sure you are from LI. It's bagels, any new yorker can spell that correctly.

In his other identical post I thought perhaps he left his beagle at that coffee shop but, then he felt the need to start another thread.

I have no idea what you're getting at.

I don't know anyone working 3 jobs. If you do, maybe it's because they have low paying jobs and need to work 3 jobs to pay the bills. Maybe they have bad spending habits. That has nothing to do with living on LI.

That would be sad, if he left his beagle at the coffee shop. Poor dog.

Where'd you move to?
Does your money go so much further in your new locale?
The schools, are they comparable to Long Island's?
How did you get to your new home, drive? If so, did you keep out of the left lane except for passing?
If moving into an apartment, did you make sure it isn't illegal?
How long did you live on ("in") Long Island?
What made you decide to move off ("out of") Long Island?
Will you continue to post on the LI forum and let us know how your new home differs from LI? Let us know how much better it is every chance you get!

Good luck!

Nah. OP didn't rant about "TOO MANY CONDOS ON LI!"

I think it's just a bored and homesick transplant who moved to the middle of nowhere because it's cheap trying to bolster his self-esteem.
