I live on the corner of sunrise and 111 in Islip, it's noisy but I can deal with it. I don't have kids but my neighbor does and said the SD is very good. My taxes are not $10,000 but I guess it depends where in Islip and the size of the house. My taxes are about $7200 but with star I pay about $6,500.I love where I live, been here 9 years. What street is the house you are looking to buy if you don't mind me asking. Islip has a nice downtown area with many places to eat, shop, grab a beer ect...BTW poppy's luncheonette is a great place for breakfast. Check out Dean's seafood in Islip, they have great fresh fish.
lubby do you know what happened to Bayberry Cafe on Main St? One day I passed and it was gone and now alot of work is going on there.
Does anyone know what happened to Vinzenzo's on Sunrise Hwy?
Same thing...drove by one day and poof...done closed up.
Since I have lived here that place has been three different restaurants. Never ate at any of them. I hope the restaurant that is replacing Bayberry is giid because that place was horrible.

How about that cafe that used to be Adrianne's Bridal Salon location between the bank and post office (I think that was one of the original buildings that stood there, maybeI am wrong).
That's changed hands many times as well.
Islip is a nice town. It's not the same as it was 20 years ago but still okay.
