Please don't move out of LI. Yes there are lower taxes and a better lifestyle awaits you But. There is a reason for lower taxes . There are no Ems , Fire service , schools are run out of rigerator boxes, no Police protection , no good tasting food , no librarys and gas if you could find any is 5.90 a gal. Please belive this because if you move out of long Island I would have to pick the tax loss
Not to mention the roving bands of rabid wild dogs, bad water, fires and earth quakes.

Just an enlightened and educated viewpoint, definetly a product of a superior school system...
Some parts of TN aren't bad, we have very low taxes ($680 a year on our house) and 5 libraries that we can go to with 1 library card. We do have to pay for trash service ($80 every 3 months for 1 trash bin). Where we are though, it's a 20 minute drive to really get anywhere in any direction, we've put alot of miles on our cars and use more gas, but gas is cheaper here.

You can go to any library in Suffolk County now and take out books. You just can't take out DVD's or CD's.
