is this a home you are buying the person doing your home inspection should be checking for that to begin with. Also, look around yourself, if you see something that he says is okay and you have a gut feeling get a second opinion (ex: the roof and leaks)
Hi All
Need to get a termite inspection for our mortgage. Any good companies to recommend?
Thanks in advance
Don't you need an inspection anyway? Inspectors look for termites and by doing 2 inspections you'd have to spend money on both. Think about it--the termite company wants to make $$ so they may tell you something to get you to spend more money. There's nothing in it for the home inspector. He/she just tells you if there's termites or not.
Didnt have to worry about it when i bought my home it had a termite/carpenter ant warranty (already had a contract). i pay (just renewed) $250/year and if you want other services they give you a discounted price.

Not all inspectors include a termite inspection. It pays to ask upfront!
Most inspectors do include a termite inspection, but there are some that don't.
That's why I suggested asking upfront
