reminds me of the sandy storm gas shortage. Once there is a mob scene & things get a little bad, people start to act like a bunch of barbarians & all acts of civility goes out the window
Those people can be rude, and when they are it's an embarassment to Judaism. When you see someone wearing a yarmulke you don't expect rudeness from them. It's always a surprise, like in the movie Cannonball Run ll where two actresses dressed as nuns were in a diner. One spills hot coffee, and they both jump up and yell out the Lord's name in vain. And everyone's looking at them in shock.
All joking aside, I avoid shopping malls for this very reason. Crowds by their nature are very annoying. And if it's women running to a sale, watch out!
I went to the Roosevelt Field Mall parking lot the other day to take advantage of the Memorial Day sales and could't believe how rude some of the other drivers were! Pushiness, stealing parking spots, and loud talking on their cell phones! I did notice that the rudest of all were riding Yamahas (I am not joking). Such entitled attitudes. Before you go calling me an anti-motite, I know a guy who has a motorcycle and he is decent. I was just raised with manners.
Well thats a good thought but malls offer a variety of merchandise that small businesses will never have and usually at a cheaper price than a local store
I don't think this has anything to do with people being of a certain religion or nationality. I think it's just being from this area.
But seriously, there are just too many damn people here. I'm not excusing anyone's behavior, but when I read these board, it's apparent to me that many people who live on Long Island are disgruntled - either by traffic, taxes, cost of living or all of the above. Combine this with a BUNCH of people who all feel this way in a crowded mall and it's a miracle if someone holds a door open for you.
I said I was of Jewish decent. I'm also of German decent and don't know how to spell German words. I speak and write in English.
