What would you say the biggest differences are between Long Island & Westchester/ Connecticut/ New Jersey? Just curious...I'm pretty familar with LI, but not the others.

Most importantly, you don't need to go over water to get out of Westchester/ Connecticut/ New Jersey... :-)

What kind of 'differences' do you mean - people, homes, terrain, other? In many ways, they're all pretty comparable as suburbs to the big apple. Westchester/CT have more of a New England-y feel; NJ & LI are more similar in home styles... CT is more populated along the water; up north, it's very country feeling. So even within one state/area, there are extreme differences
