Cesspools are of block construction (definitely not pre-cast), one primary with an overflow, probably 1500 gallons each; last pumped and treated October 26, 2011, previously treated in October, 2007, by Eastern Cesspool Co, Kings Park.
So I guess I should have a quote for a replacement? Does the same company install the dry-well for the washer?
How do I have them 'check' it without pumping it if we just want to see how bad it is?

If I had a block pool I would replace it no matter what, just for peace of mind. As for the drywell, most companies would be able to install that for you as well.
