Holy cow, just Google Ickel Bickels to see if the old place was still around and saw all this! I went there back in the 70's, when Tony Danza was tending bar
The owner Ron, whom we all called Buddah, was the nicest guy. He and his wife were great. I was with the Freeport Speedway crowd, and spent a weekend or two on Buddah's beautiful boat, with the whole gang. Great times, super memories. Relocated to Florida many years ago, still miss Long Island!

Not that I ever heard. Not sure if there was a big Mafia presence in Malverne at that time LOL. I grew up in this town left in 2003

Well, I think most posters are talking about the heydays of the place in the 70s, and Malverne is just outside NYC.
