Hello,
Anyone have any experience with getting a mortgage from Capital One? They advertise that their "closing costs are 41% lower than Bankrate's national average". Wondering how accurate that statement is. Thank you.

Some advertise ZERO closing fees. But what's your rate?
It's all about the rate, closing costs, points, fees, origination fees.
All the terms above are just fancy words for various fees. All of the above needs to be taken into consideration.

It's BS marketing. I became a Capital One customer after the ING transition. Called them about their 30 yr fixed mortgage and the rate was 4.56% and estimated closing costs of $15k. My wife found Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Got locked at 4.125% with closing costs of $13k.
Are there any credit unions that offer mortgages for investment properties? Bethpage CU doesn't do investment mortgages. Thanks.
