Nothing like a triple homicide to make Wyandanch more attractive to prospective home buyers.

Avalon Apartments gave it a shot in Huntington Station. I am not sure how that is working out. Wyandanch has some of the same challenges.

Wyandanch Rising complex looks very good but heres the problem.
Starting a revitalization project and completing it is one thing.

But keeping it as it is in good shape and standing is something different.

Perhaps time will reveal about the outcome of this new revitalization plan.

Quick question: Is the project actually complete (meaning, all the residential and commercial units open) as of now?

One of the things that could work in this project's favor is the fact that it's supposed to have amenities as part of the project itself if I understand correctly. So somebody could go to the supermarket, or go out to dinner in the immediate area, as opposed to having to cross over the train tracks to do their shopping on another part of Straight Path. The LIRR is right there, so you don't really have to walk through the rest of Wyandanch to get to it.

Of course, on the flip side of the coin, it makes it that much harder for any improvements to make their way to the rest of the area, being that it's self-contained.
