Why is it called the Bethpage show?Could it be typed back to a yearly show at Grumman that I remember in the late 40s called the Mirror show that featured model airplanes at the bethpage plant

OK that figures that credit union started I believe as the Grumman credit union it was located by plant 5 going back I got a auto loan there when I worked there in the late 60s Funny more folks don't post here about working there We old employees called it the Grumman Family (showing my age) lol
Yesterday (Sunday), I was able to see the jets around 4 PM from Wantagh Park as the access to Jones Beach was closed off although many cars were already leaving the area prior to this time (so they could have opened up the access in my opinion!).
I hear there were actually 2 sets of jets. We saw what we thought were the Thunderbirds fly over our houses in middle Nassau around 3. We never made it due to full lots - we got onto Wantagh Pkwy at 1 and it was immediately a parking lot. People coming from Meadowbrook were turned around. Next year we're going to be there from the start.
This year the airshow schedule changed and it lasted until 5 PM which is later than past years as far I know.
