Haha, when in doubt, use the ol' "Go away!" angle. Noted.
Keep flying it, it's a no cost "moron detector". Just like those stickers on kids cars with some cartoon character peeing on something..it's like wearing a t-shirt that says "yes world, I am an a-hole!"

Most people fly the flag as either a representation of their heritage or most likely as a statement of rebellion usually against an overstepping government. It does get used by racist idiots but what can you expect from the stupid...

If your heritage is represented by a battle flag from a conflict that lasted 4 years, that started because of the issue of slavery, and you still cling to it 150 years later....it's a moron detector. The south has history from many years outside of 1861-1865, yet this is what represents them? This is the most culturally significant thing about the South, that people choose to represent?
The same people who tend to say that blacks should get over slavery, an institution that lasted hundreds of years, can't get over a 4 year war? Just let it go, kids.
So many people have no idea of the events before and after the War of Northern Aggression(or the War for Southern Independence). Do some research esp. on Reconstruction. And for fun watch Clint Eastwood's great movie "Josie Wales".

Key phrase "they choose to represent themselves", this is not my culture or heritage. If you read actual civil war history (not the Gone With the Wind version) economics not slavery led to the start, slavery became a secondary reason to continue the fight. But this is not the forum to discuss this and the opinions on both sides are many.
But who declared you judge and jury as to how one expresses themselves? I have know people who think observing Halloween is stupid and others who think Columbus Day a waste, everyone has their views...
Only a moron would say the civil war was fought over the ownership of slaves.
Oh by the way the first slave owner was a Black man who bought others of the same color [ can I say color?]
It only became a racist symbol when the Klan started using it . Before that it was a symbol of Southern Pride, and many today still look at it as such. Nothing more. !!!!!!
How come I /we don't hear this much BS about the muslims in our country flying the ISIS flag.

Slavery was a large part of why the war was fought, but what people don't know is Lincoln allowed any slave state that didn't secede to keep their slaves. So for the South it was largely over their slave based economy for the North it was mostly about keeping the Union together using force.
