I was wondering if anyone had any advice on renting their home out. I've been doing some research on property management companies and they seem to be huge companies that mainly handle apartment buildings and complexes. I'm just looking to rent one house in the Levittown/Hicksville area. Does anyone have any experience with any of these companies or can recommend one? Also what do their services entail and approximate cost (I've read 10% of rent). Does the property management company find the renter? I'm going to be moving cross country so I feel like having a property manager would give me some peace of mind. Thank you in advance!
I rent out a house in Florida. I have a property manager who I found thru the realtor who sold me the house. But I found several on-line to compare her with. My property manager manages approx. 200 homes. She found our tenant and handles collecting the rent and addressing any problems that come up. She also manages services such as [SIZE=3]maintenance[/SIZE][SIZE=3], la[/SIZE]wn service, pool service and so on. She does a great job and is very professional. She charges 10% and is well worth it. Again this is inn Florida but I would expect it is the same everywhere.
Can anyone recommend any specific companies that are reliable?
