Has anyone had stair rails installed recently? I have a split. I have 7 steps. On the 2nd floor, I have an 8' area that may be called a double L. So, it is about 5', then goes back 3' and resumes for 3' or so. We are looking at getting wood rails, newel posts and iron ballusters. I know we need around 36 ballusters.

Thanks for any input

Tony

I have a similar setup. (Also a split; 5 stairs but a slightly longer hallway). I got an oak railing/newel posts with painted ballusters for about $950. I used Bill Elliott, who can do anything and is very reasonably priced.
